Hey there!
I'm Cayla
First off, thank you for your continued interest in learning about my business! I’m glad that you’re here!
I was born and raised in Wisconsin – at first on a farm. I still consider myself more of a country girl today, preferring the wide open space out in nature, surrounded by trees & animals than in a city. Although I’m not quite there yet, it’s still my dream to live on a tiny little farm again.
As you can tell – I’m an animal lover. If I could have one of each kind, I’d be the happiest lady on Earth. But for now, I have 2 cats and 1 dog. Not too crazy yet! I enjoy digital painting (you guessed it – all animals), crocheting stuffed animals, and spending any time I can get anywhere that has kittens. 😀
All animal talk aside – whew! I’m also a mother of an extremely energetic toddler who I can barely keep up with, and happily married nearing 10 years now! This is where the majority of my time is spent if I’m not busying away at my computer.
So how did I get to where I am now?
It’s a pretty complicated story, but to keep it very simple – just like SO many of you, I have spent so many years working away at my 9-5 job, not really getting anywhere further; no promotions or anything. I was even laid off a week before my wedding. Ouch! But as the years went on… I knew it just wasn’t for me.
For years, I just wanted to be the one in control of my own success. I wanted to have more time to do the things I love, set my own schedule, and take a vacation whenever I felt like it. I’ve had so many dreams, and I could never see my day job getting me there. I KNOW I am not alone. I am sure you have also been dreaming of similar things.
I finally landed my first client and decided immediately this was what I wanted to do. So, I started my own business on November 20th, 2020. Yes… The year of COVID! (I wonder how many people have had the same idea as me!)
And now, I feel like I can dream again!
